Heavy green arrangement tends to make a roomappear smaller, whilst small rooms can be given anair of space and light by arrangements of white-washed branches and seedheads and ribbon. Lightedcandles arranged in windows with the blinds leftundrawn can spread the spirit of goodwill to allwho pass by, just as a door arrangement, made bysticking pieces of yew and other greenery into alarge potato and hung with a red ribbon, can bidwelcome to all who enter. A few ideas are depicted on the following pages,but whether our arrangements are made gay orsymbolic, I feel we should remember the truemeaning of Christmas in all we do, say or think,and give thanks. |
