The dull beige colour ofTeasels are not very effectivefor gay arrangements, butdipped in whitewash theyassume a festive appearance.Here they are used in alow design, the base ofwhich was strengthened byRhododendron fronds andcolour was increased by theaddition of red hobbles.
Sprays of Pineswished throughwhitewash made theoutline of anothergay scene. Fir coneswere wired on tosticks and placedlow in the designwhilst the tray wasfilled with plasteron which finallyrested the small deer, These leaves were brushedover with glue and thensprinkled with diamanteglitter. The Ivy leaf veinswere done in the same man-ner and the whole materialwas firmly held on a heavypin holder. Cones formedthe central interest of thisbuffet table arrangementwhich would also be suit-able for a silver weddingdesign. |
