THE word Christmas comes from ChristesMaesse, the old English form of the Mass ofChrist first found in 1308, and although we havesince borrowed and adapted many ideas from otherlands, some of which had pagan origin, Christmasis celebrated all over the World today by all peoples, all faiths and creeds.
It is a time of giving, with no thought of receivingand in expressing our thanks, we can make ourdecorations gay or with a religious motif, as wethink fit.
Red, green and white are the traditional coloursfor Christmas decorations, although today all kindsof coloured and shiny bobbles add delight andgaiety to the scene.
