Purple and mauve Gladioli {left) form the framework for this further design in thesame vase featuring turquoise blue Hydrangeas clustered down the centre. A pinholder under wire netting holds the flowers in place.
Bright coloured flowers will lighten a dark corner of a room. Here yellowIris and Tulips are grouped in a glass block container. Notice howthe petals of the central Tulip are pressed back for stronger interest.
The same glass block holds this dozen white Carnations. The Yew foliage is used on the reverse side showing the delicate slate grey-green colouring.
A posy ring for a candlestick makes adelightful centre piece for a table. Tomake this take a piece of wire nettingabout 2 ft. long and 6 inches wide and rollit round some moss as you would, roll acigarette. Then bend it into the shape of aring, saturate it in water and place if on alarge plate. Place the candlestick in thecentre of the plate and fill the wire withall kinds of short Spring flowers. Chinaand plastic posy rings can be bought, butthe wire method allows you to place theflowers at all angles.
