Another pottery Spring scenemade in a coloured plate.The Daffodils are held on apin holder and the plate isfilled with moss which con-tains fern seedlings. A rootof Primroses and a fewMuscari were added andwhile the base of this arrange-ment lasted for several weeksthe daffodils were changedas they wilted.

This Victorian silver cakestand can beused in three different ways (see over-leaf). The Mimosa was placed firston the outside edges of the holderwhich left room for filling in withRoses and Violets. (The very sharppin holders are the best for this kindof intricate work, although someflower-arrangers prefer to usecrumpled wire). The holder standsin a dish of water, in order not toharm the silver.
